Յիշէ՛, խեղճ հոգիս, երբ մընաս մինակ, 

Կոյրերը ամէն – մութ հագած մարդեր,

Մութ՝ գիշերներէն, լոյսերէն անցնող, 

Ծովէն՝ օրօրուող, կեանքի հանդէսէն ։

Յիշէ՛ դուն յաճախ խուլերը նաեւ.

Երգին հովերուն, ծառերուն hեւքին, 

Խոր զանգակներուն, ջուրերուն թափուող, 

Եւ նուագներուն տեսնողն անականջ։

Յիշէ՛ համրը դուն, որ խեղդէ պիտի

Ձայնը հոգիէն շրթներուն իջնող,

Ne va pas dans ce jardin de fosses de l’oubli

Dans ce carré de terre recouvert

De plaques de marbre blanc et noir

Ne va pas dans ce lieu

Où sur des croix s’entassent des dormeurs de l’oubli

Où se tordent quelques fleurs assoiffées

Et quelques bougies

Je ne suis pas là…

Écoute le vent

Écoute le bruissement des branches

Le grondement des nuages

M’entends-tu ?

Je suis là… dans le vent

Dans le murmure du ruisseau

Je suis encore et toujours tout près de toi

Ne pleure pas…

L’espace éternel de ces silences infinis




Née à Beyrouth, Sonia Nigolian a fait ses études primaires et complémentaires chez les Sœurs de Besançon, et ses classes terminales au Lycée Français de Beyrouth, puis des études de Pédagogie et de Psychologie de l’Enfant à l’Ecole des Lettres.

Elle débute en 1974 une carrière journalistique consacrée aux arts, aux lettres et à tout ce qui touche la communauté arménienne et la politique de la République d'Arménie.

Sonia Nigolian, à part ses activités journalistiques est également l’auteure de quatre recueils de poésie.

Կողքի մը տակ կը դնեմ ինչ որ հրդեհն էր իմ մէջ,

Մութ մնացորդը  ցաւին — ըսպիներուն Հիմա մեծ — ,

Զոր ես կնքել կը խորհիմ, գիշերին մէջ զերթ մատուռ,

Եւ ուզելով ոչ ոքի բանալ դռները անոր։

Կը թղթատեմ երբ մինակ , մէկ – մէկ էջերը Հիմա ,

Երեսներու վրայ  մեռած, ես կը զգամ ցաւը նորէն։

Ցաւը կըրակ  մ՚էր երէկ, այսօր արցունք է միայն ,

Կամ դառնութիւն մ'ահաւոր ուր կը խռիս լռելեայն։

Տողեր կիսատ  կը ծածկեն մերթ մերկութիւնը  սրտին .

Տեղ – տեղ կէտեր միմիայն ՝ երկար ու լուռ , կը խօսին .

Քեզմէ նեղուած , քեզ խաբել կտորներով  ես կ'ուզեմ ։

Խաբելն հրճուանք մ'է կոտրած հոգիին մէջ զօրաւոր.

Ու դուն գիտեմ թէ կիրքով զիս վերլուծես պիտի խոր,

–Դուն առնելու , ես ՝ տալու – ագահներու  մրցումին ։

Armenian Poetry Day / Ասմունքի օր

Poetry for all Ages in English and Armenian

Los Angeles Public Library presents "Armenian Poetry Day," celebrating Armenian heritage, as well as the legacy of Komitas, the revered Armenian composer and ethnomusicologist. The program will feature spoken word and poetry readings from Armenian poets and students from local schools, violin and kamancha performances to bring Armenian music to life, and a traditional Armenian circle dance performance and workshop presented by UCLA's Natalie Kamajian of LERNAZANG.
