Vaughn Koumjian: Waiting Room

They are
of the divided day,
Their dreams, still fresh, plastered on walls,
Hardened, opulent, a rolling frieze
Of the turning pocket
In certified largesse,
Until the train stirs
And the visions seeded, scatter
Among creeping grass.
