Introducing Mona Ghoneim

Mona Ghuneim was born in Beirut, Lebanon to a Palestinian father and an Armenian mother – two oppressed people for the price of one, she jokes. But all kidding aside, she knows full well the struggles and hardships her parents and ancestors faced and she appreciates the rich cultures and vibrant worlds passed down to her. She takes it all very seriously in her writing, by turns comic and heart-breaking, quirky and endearing, and always working to find compassion and understanding.
