Պատուհանին տակ յաւերժի
Երջանկութեան կուսութիւնը գողցայ այսօր,
Եւ արեանս հոսանքին մէջ
Տռփանքը դեռ կը մխայ:
Բերէ՛ք բաժակները լոյսի, մինչ հրճուանքս
երեխայ՝
Կը խմէ յաղթանակի բորբ ստինքէն
կաթնածոր:

Վկա՛յ նախանձով կքած երդիքները
հարեւան...
Ու կը ծխեմ չիբուխն հիմա
Անվերադարձ վայրկեաններուն այդ բոսոր:

Creeping up the window of Eternity
I just stole Joy's virginity.

Pour its Light into your glasses,
And while the smoke of desire

Drink right from the breasts of Victory...

Hunched with envy

Khatchig Mouradian is a journalist, writer and translator. He was an editor of the Lebanese-Armenian Aztag Daily from 2000 to 2007, when he moved to Boston and became the editor of the Armenian Weekly. His articles, interviews and poems have appeared in a large number of publications in both Armenia and the Diaspora. Many of his writings have been translated into more than 10 languages. He also contributes to a number of U.S. and European publications. He has lectured extensively and participated in conferences in Armenia, Turkey, Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria, Austria and the U.S.
His translations include Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist" published by Hamazkayin in 2004. The book was launched in Yerevan, Armenia in the presence of Coelho and Mouradian.
