Georgi Bargamian: How to return to a place you’ve never been
Drink the honey
that dripped from
your grandfather’s hand.
Swallow whole
his memories
of mountains
marking days
by ray and shadow.
Follow his map,
to mythic springs
cold and milky.
Reclaim
stones and
spoonfuls of soil
stolen life-zones ago.
Adorn his
exiled grave in
smuggled minerals:
redemptions
he knew
you’d exhume.
