Ով որ ճերմակ ծոց ունի,
       թող կապոյտ շապիկ հագընի.
Կոճակն այլ արձակ թողու,
       ով տեսնու` սըրտիկն արունի.
Երթամ աղաչեմ զաստուած,
       լեղակին հունտըն հատանի.
Ո'չ նա այլ կապոյտ հագնի,
       ո'չ մանկան սիրտըն արունի

Whoever has a white bosom

let her put on a blue shirt.

Let her leave the button open,

Whoever notices, let his heart bleed.

Let him go to beg God to dry up the indigo.

Let its seed be exhausted.

Let the girl no longer wear blue.

And let the heart of the boy be cured.
