National Poetry Month in the U.S.

Created by the Academy of American Poets in 1996 and celebrated every subsequent April, National Poetry Month, the largest literary celebration in the world, unites publishers, booksellers, literary organizations, libraries, schools, and poets in a celebration of poetry and its vital place in American culture.
