Archie [Khatchig] Minasian: The Cure

Click on the audio link The Cure read by Lola Koundakjian.

I pace my little room,
swing the windows and look out.

The trees on the hill are tossing madly;
I watch them,
I am thrilled at their madness.

“The Cure” and “Becoming Great” are, of course, two distinctly separate poems. Unfortunately, they were reprinted together as “The Cure” in Forgotten Bread, edited by David Kherdian and published in 2007 by Heyday Books. An unfortunate oversight — but, as they say, these things happen . . .

The clip has been rerecorded. Many apologies for any inconveniences. I hope Kherdian makes the same correction in the next edition.
